Air Rifle Training

On Friday, we went to Bukit Timah shooting rage. The area was indeed beautiful. It is air-conditioned but the thing is the Rifle there are very old. Its the oldest kind of rifle around. When u pull the drigger, the whole rifle would jerk back. Plus its also lighter...and not that stable. Not exactly enjoyable...

There was also training the next day. Gosh, never knew i would appreciate the rifles in our school. Yup, we did the 1st practice (which is turning the target card backwards) and shooting it this way. Hmmm...not that bad...for 20 shots i did quite well, its mostly all around the target area. ^-^
For the 2nd practice (which is the normal shooting way) we were allowed 20 shots and all of them were at the target area! Well, except one which is out of the target though...And guess what?! The coach allowed me to wear the competition suit. (The canvas jacket and pants.)

Whoa...it is so damn hot but the good thing is it is so much more steadier shooting this way. And the suit is very stiff...hot and stiff, it does drain ur energy.
Plus the coach says that he'll see which rifle suits me at the next training! Which means i'll be getting my " husband ".

YES! I shoot bulleyes!!! YaY!

Air Rifle selection

The second selection of Air rifle was intense. The coach told us that out of the 60 of us only minium 16 or maxium 20 pupils will be selected to join Air rifle. And even so, u need to reach a certain standard at a certain period or u would be kicked out of the club. Yup, i was selected! Yay! Out of 10 shots, i got 8-7 shots at the black area of the target and 2 shots at the larger circumference of the target. I was selected right on the spot. ^.-

But seriously, there was this guy, Ron ( I hope that's how his name is spelled. Plus his's also in my class. ) he is so damn good!!! Out of all 10 shots, he had all of them in at the black target area. And there were a few bullseye if i'm not mistaken. Its seriously good for a beginner! ( For ur information, he have never tried shooting before this Air rifle audition. At least that's what he said to me. )

Well, yesterday was all Sec 1 selected student's first Air rifle training. And yup, the coach was right. " I'll be training ur stamina, strength and ur leg muscles. Be really to accept intense PT ( Physical training ). Muhahaha...You will now be my victims. " that's what he had said. Its not the exact speech but its something like that. O.o
And...* Drum roll *--- The seniors led us in 20 sit-ups, 20 push-ups and standing and kneeling down 20 times, then its the 2.4 km run ( It my estimation. There are marking at some point of the route. ) aroung Kuo Chuan Primary and Secondary school. Then its the cool down exercise and last but not least another 10 sit-ups, 10 push-ups and 10 times standing and kneeling down.
And that is our first Air rifle training. We didn't even get to touch the Air rifle. Sigh~

Well, even though it will be hard but my heart will go on.

A KCPian

I walked into KCPSS awkwardly in my MCS uniform. It was really uncomfortable as i can't easily blend into my surroundings. Though there was 1 MCS girl in her former uniform too ( But i have no idea what her name is. ) but she had bought her KCP uniform on the first break.

Anyway, the air was very stiff and tense around the Sec 1 seating area in the hall. When i've found my way to 1 Love's seating area, I could say that all Sec 1s are like staring at me like i'm an alien creature from outer space. Well, the plede-taking ceremony was...like what Sherrie said in her post --- Awkward. Hardly anyone was singing the National Anthem, its just mumbling of words. Totally different from MCS...at least the P3 - P4 pupils would sing and P5 - P6s' singing isn't my definition of mumbling.

Well, we didn't exactly have a classroom ( If my information is correct. ) since its a homeroom system. Basically, the difference is that instead of the teachers move to different classes to teach, students are the ones who will move from class to class to attend lessons taught by the teacher for the subjects they offer.

The first day of school, well...people who knows me would know that i'm what you considered an anti-social. I'm not the type that walks up to my new classmate and says '' Hi '' on the first day when everything is so new. etc. And thus i didn't make any friends YET.

We did make some introductions and for your information, i hardly remembered any of my classmate's names. ( Except for Dakie since she was my former classmate for the past 2 years and will be my classmate for this year as well. ) Take note, i've used HARDLY remembered anyone's name... But...There was this guy that ( I suppose ) everyone would remember his name since HE IS THE INFAMOUS BIG MOUTH OF OUR CLASS. And his name is

This gave a really bad impression for me on boys since i did not have any male friends since K1. ( And i've considered them as decent boys. )

But still, as the week past by and i've got to know them better through games and acivities, they seems to be quite fine to me. Well...there's only one more thing, the guys' refuse to hold the girls' hand and the girls' refuse to hold the guys' hand when it is required during a game. Which is what i seriously consider --- STUPID ---. I mean its only a game...its not like holding hands would make us being engaged. Plus there's so much to do and so little time while they still fuss about such small matters. Anyway, we'll be classmates for a year or perhaps 2 years and there will be lots of times when holding hands are needed.

Anyway, yesterday was the CCA audition day. Sec 1s get to tryout for all CCAs ( while the Seniors help out and thus there were no lesson for the whole day. ). I was totally attached to Air Raffle. The Air Raffle is heavy but i suppose i could manage it. I got my first hands on try for Air Raffle which is so COOL. I've passed for the first try and the couch asked me to go for audition next Wednesday, 2.30 pm. YEAH!!!
